Select Wise, Virginia water customers under boil water notice

Water system operators for the town of Wise, Virginia say it could be three to five days until customers will be able to stop boiling their water before usage.

A report issued by the authority said a water line break on Wampler Avenue Southwest was the cause of the notice being issued on Monday.

A large swath of households is affected by the break and boil notice including portions of US Route 23, Roberts Avenue, West Main Street, Skye Avenue, and Lake Street Northwest.
