Aquifer

An aquifer is a permeable and porous body of an underground layer of geological formation acting as underground reservoirs. Groundwater easily enters or passes through to springs, wells, and other types of water sources. Freshwater becomes readily available to agricultural areas, towns, and cities near an aquifer.
