So we decided to follow our heart and move from a big city to a small village to be able to do what we love and to create this content. Our goal is to promote the healthy lifestyle, to motivate people to travel more and care for nature around. We are passionate walkers who love hiking, trekking and camping. We offer the detailed information of our hikes and routes, including the map and all the directions, so that you can repeat it if you’d like to.

We choose walking over driving and other types of transportation whenever we can because we learnt that this way we see so much more and can explore and feel the place better. Walking is an excellent activity that has so many benefits to your health and requires no special equipment or practice, so we encourage you to get the most out of it and get out walking.

ISPRING 6 STEP REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER FILTRATION INSTALLATION | Clean Living

ISPRING 6 STEP REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER FILTRATION INSTALLATION | Clean Living

Hey there and welcome back! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out our channel 🙂
#ispring #reverseosmosis #waterfiltration #cleanliving #cleanwater

My husband and I decided to invest in a 6 step reverse osmosis water filtration system for our house. Our water we get here in Florida is no where safe for us to drink, and either tastes like two things: dirt (or poop, no lie) or chlorine. I can’t even tell you how many times I turn on the kids bathtub water and it smells like I’m filling up a swimming pool- YUCK! After doing a lot of research on different types of water filtration systems, we decided on this undersick filtration system that provided you with your own faucet to get the cleanest, yummiest and safest water for our family to drink.

You can check the quality of your water on the EWG (environmental working group) website, type in your zipcode and see where your water rates. Our water contained extremely high levels of arsenic, radium and other very scary items that have a high risk of causing cancer. Scary, right? So be sure to see where your water rates and ways you can make the water your drinking and cooking with better for your family.

The result was totally worth the investment!
Here is the link to our system:

Hope you enjoy our video and we’d love to have you as a subscriber!

Jenna

The Ultimate DIY Water Filter! - The "2 Stage" (carbon+heated coil) purifier! - uses no electricity!

The Ultimate DIY Water Filter! – The "2 Stage" (carbon+heated coil) purifier! – uses no electricity!

Ultimate DIY Water Filter! This Homemade Water Purifier is extremely effective and super easy to make. The “2 Stage” design purifies almost all water sources to 99.999%. Starts to produce clean/clear (super hot) water within 20 seconds! uses no electricity. great to have in a SHTF/Emergency situation or for everyday use. *also doubles as a water heater and stove burner!. you can cook on top of the coil at the same time the water is heating/purifing! water purifier, water heater and stove all in one! *and with the exception of the activated carbon and the copper coil, the filter is made almost entirely out of “free stuff” (recycled/reused metal cans, plastic bottle, glass jar – along with sand and gravel). note that the “1st stage” of the filter (activated carbon part) removes predominantly the chemical impurities (along with bad taste/color/odor/sediment). while the “2nd stage” (heated coil) predominantly removes the biological contaminants (parasites/bacteria/viruses etc…) when used together they’re extremely effective as a filtering system. should purify almost all water sources. note – one of the few things it won’t remove is salt from salt water and certain minerals. of interest: total length of copper tubing is 10 ft. tubing is 1/4″. a crumpled up piece of coffee filter paper can be used in place of the cotton balls. i was able to purifiy 12oz of water every 3 mins or so (about 1/2 gallon every 15 mins). it uses about 25 cents worth of 70% isopropyl alcohol to purify a gallon. (i imagine in a pinch, since the can that holds the copper coil is very similar to a tin can stove, you could use small sticks, twigs and leaves as a fuel source instead of the alcohol). Of note: it only “steams up” for a few seconds every few minutes or so. most of the time the flow of escaping water vapor/steam is light and barely visible.

Water Purification Options for Cannabis Production

Water Purification Options for Cannabis Production

Water Purification Options for Cannabis Production

Professor DeBacco

What Purification/Filtration is
Water purification is the process of removing undesirable chemicals, biological contaminants, suspended solids, and gases from water.
There are a variety of method that can be used which is in part dependent on the initial water conditions and what is the target substance to be removed.

Water Volume vs Quality
Growers need to have a water purification system that will supply enough volume of water for the amount of plants they are growing
However, depending on the type of water that is initially incoming into the facility this can impact the type of purification system used.
Sometimes to get the proper quality of water takes time which can reduce the volume produced.
If this is under what is required by the plants there will be issues.
Also, growers need to factor in the volume their plants will consume on a hot day at full maturity.

Hard vs Soft Water
Hard Water:
Has a high content of dissolved minerals as hard, which are primarily high calcium and magnesium content. (Measured in milligrams of calcium salts per liter of the water.)
200-400 mg/L is the range for hard water while
400-550 mg/L is for very hard.
Typical tap water 170-390 mg/L. While it is not dangerous to humans, consuming this type of water can be harmful to cannabis.
Soft Water:
Soft water contains very little minerals to none at all.
Under 150 mg/L is very soft
150-200 mg/L is simply soft.
Rain water, purified, ionized, and distilled water is an example of soft water
*With rain water once it collects soil particles and minerals the harness scale will go up.

Reverse Osmosis
Advantages
Essentially produces “pure” water with an EC of -0- and -0- ppm
Disadvantages
Slow process
Generates waste water (not harmful) just not used
Membranes need replacement to prevent potential for microbe contamination

Tap Water
Advantages
Easy, come directly out of the tap
Disadvantages
Can have potential contaminants
May restrict what nutrients a grower can add

Carbon Filtration
Advantages
Effective at removing chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOC), taste and odor.
Can remove sediment (but this will reduce the filters useful “life expectancy”)
Disadvantages
Does not remove minerals, salts and dissolved organic substances

Sediment Filtration
Advantages
Removes physical particles from water
Often used as a prefilter before other filtration methods to increase their longevity
Disadvantages
Only removes particles not chemicals or contaminants

The finer the screen typically the slower the flow rate
