We switched to the Epic Water Filter- to reduce our exposure to PFAS and forever chemicals. For years we used a countertop PUR water filter that was great for removing the chemical smell and taste of Austin city water. But with recent news about how PFAS are worse for you than previously thought and how the “safe level” of PFOA and PFOS is much lower then previous government standards set we needed a water filter that could remove those forever chemicals.

Two years ago I convinced myself I was in-shape enough to climb the highest mountain in Texas- Guadalupe Peak- Things didn’t go as planned!
I use affiliate links. Clicking on them doesn’t change the price you pay but I may receive a small percentage of the sale.
This weekend, I made a 3-stage water filtration system for the Jayco Seismic 4113 Toy Hauler. Odor and sediment in the water at campgrounds has left a foul odor in the clean water holding tank. Before my next trip, I plan to sanitize the fresh water tank, and want to avoid filling it with bad stinky water again. I purchased some filter housings and hardware to put this system together for around $200. That’s less than half of the closest of the closest comparable systems I was able to find. I only have the home improvement store filters now, but can change to better filters if I need to. This system will accept any standard 2 1/2″ x 10″ filter cartridge.

I am not an affiliate for frizzlife but they do send me filters to review and I have to say I have always enjoyed the change in my water quality. They seem well made and my water tastes great. I suppose that is enough said really. I hope you enjoy the review.
