At about 3:30 this morning, a water line broke on 3rd St. N.E. between Center and Clement streets, which resulted in a drain in a storage tank on the east side of town.

To continue service, the water supply was moved from the east elevated storage tank to the ground storage tank, central elevated storage tank and west elevated storage tank. According to officials, some locations in NE areas of the city experienced a brief period of lower water pressure, with just a few places reporting loss of water.

City staff is following protocol set forth by the Texas Commission On Environmental Quality (TCEQ), to include flushing the system and taking samples to ensure the water quality for our customers.

Currently, there is NO BOIL WATER notice for any of the Paris areas.

If anyone experiences discolored water, low water pressure, or no water, contact Public Works at 903-784-9289.
