A water main break has prompted a water boil advisory in Ashland.
The borough issued the following announced to borough resident on Sunday.
On July 17, 2022, we experienced a loss of positive water pressure due to a water main break on Oakland Ave. Crews are working on the problem. However, a loss of positive water pressure is a signal of the existence of conditions that could allow contamination to enter the distribution system. As a result, there is an increased chance that the water may contain disease- causing organisms.
The advisory is in effect until further notice.
