TOLEDO, Ohio — The city of Toledo has issued a water boil advisory for Swan Creek Drive, from Tanglewood Dr. to Bridlewood Dr. The advisory excludes 5929 Swan Creek Drive and Bridlewood Drive, from Swan Creek Drive to Tanglewood Drive. But it also includes 2220 Tanglewood Drive.
The advisory is in effect now and expires on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 5 p.m.
There is no evidence at this time the water is contaminated, but because of a repair or disruption in that area, there is a possibility of contamination, according to the city.
If you live where the boil advisory is in effect, you should run cold water taps to flush lines, then boil water for drinking and cooking.
Below are the recommendations from the city of Toledo:
1. Flush all taps used for drinking and cooking by running cold faucets for at least three minutes.
2. Boil the water for three minutes and cool before using (or use bottled water). Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making formula, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and preparing food until this advisory expires on Wednesday. You may resume normal tap water use at that time unless notified that the advisory is extended.
3. If your water appears discolored, avoid washing clothes or using the hot water taps until you have run the cold water faucets and the water clears.

In this video, home renovation brothers Dave and Rich and Dave’s son, Caleb, show you how to replace a GE Cafe Refrigerator RPWFE Water Filter.
Replacing a GE Cafe water filter is not difficult, but you MUST know which type of water filter housing you have to determine how to remove the old filter and how to install the new one.
In this video, the refrigerator that we are working on has a gray water filter housing. This type of filter will be removed by pulling it straight out.
If you had a GE Cafe refrigerator with a blue water filter housing you would turn the filter one quarter turn to remove it and also turn the new filter one quarter turn to install it.
After the filter is removed, replace it with a genuine GE RPWFE water filter. A generic filter could possibly not work correctly.
With the gray water filter housing, simply push the filter straight into the housing, but don’t turn it. There are small grooves that you have to line up to keep it in place. Make sure to push until the filter is seated all the way.
After that, run the water dispenser for about 5 minutes, pouring out 2 gallons of water to make sure all of the air is purged from the lines.
Knowing how to fix a sliding glass door means saving a lot of money. It is easy and inexpensive. It may be as easy as replacing the rollers on which the sliding door rides. Typical problems with a sticking sliding glass door reside with a broken track or a track clogged with debris, or broken rollers. If a quick cleaning of the track doesn’t help, then it’s time to examine the rollers. To do this, follow this video and you’ll see how simple it is to remove the door and the rollers.
A sliding glass door can be removed by removing the stops and door guard. Then the sliding door can be lifted up and out to expose the rollers on the bottom of the door. The rollers fit into mortised pockets. The rollers can be pried out and inspected.
If you need a new roller, order one up from Amazon and in a couple of days you’ll have what you need to get your sliding glass door back into shape.

Review and failure of the PUR Water Filter with Bluetooth technology. Unite failed / died during firmware update / upgrade and no longer functioning with Bluetooth and the indicator lights on the union no longer function. Spoke with Customer Service and we tried reset (press spring inside the unit 7 times) and that did not resolve the issue and was advised to return the unit to place of purchase.
Pur Filter:
2019 Update: The replacement unit worked fine until it started to leak at the seam between the two pieces of plastic that goes from the filter housing to the faucet attachment piece. The warranty period expired 🙁 .

ORIGINAL STORY: A boil water advisory, due to a water main break, was issued for over two dozen Johnson City streets.
According to the Johnson City Water Department, the water main break occurred on Marian Drive and Christina Drive, just off of Reynolds Road, causing certain areas of the water system to become void of water.
Customers of the Johnson City Water system in the following areas are being asked to boil water prior to consumption:
Tokos Grove Road
Dellapenna Drive
Dellrose Lane
Reynolds Road between Tokos Grove and Pinewood Blvd.
Oakdale Road – north of Overbrook Road
Nelson Road
Aetna Road between Oakdale and Nelson
Deyo Hill Road

The water department advises consumers to bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute and let it cool before using, or use bottled water.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice.
Customers will be notified when they no longer need to boil water.
